WATERBLOCK Support

Both are anti-flooding devices that prevent water leaks. The difference between the two devices is the technology. The WATERBLOCK operates mechanically, while the E-WATERBLOCK operates electronically. Both measure water flow and respond accordingly.
Depending on the technology, these two products measure water flow with different levels of sensitivity and accuracy.

Because of its “mechanical core,” WATERBLOCK’s lifespan is based on the quantity of water that passes through it regardless of operating time. The limit is 79,000 Gal.

We do not recommend installing WATERBLOCK on boiler units. The flow settings are not configured for a boiler’s water usage level.

When connected to an appliance WATERBLOCK detects any anomalies of excessive water consumption by the appliance and immediately blocks the water flow.
After the block has been detected, the appliance needs to be inspected for damages and leaks. Once the damaged parts are identified and repaired, WATERBLOCK needs to be reset. To reset simply unfasten the downstream tube connector, press the red button and fasten the connector back on.
WATERBLOCK is now reset and activated to protect your appliance once again.

You will not need to reconfigure the device, simply reset it by pressing the red button at the bottom of the device and fasten the tube connector back on.

It is very simple. Just rotate the arrow at the top end to match the desired numbered line. Each line (labeled by a number) matches a different water flow volume. Below is a summary table.

Yes, you can. Remember to always shut off the water supply before unfastening the device and prior to reinstalling it into a new device reconfigure the settings for that specific appliance.

WATERBLOCK will not block the water flow if the continuous supply of water does not exceed the volume to the set profile (see table 2 for profile settings). The minimum volume corresponding to profile 0.026 Gpm to 1.32g. If the continuous supply of water to fill the carafes does not exceed 5 liters the water supply will not be blocked. If, however, you need to dispense more than this amount of water, we recommend changing the WATERBLOCK settings accordingly.

WATERBLOCK can be used for threaded faucet taps that are used to connect household appliances to a water supply. These taps have a ¾” thread (G-ISO228-1 for Europe and NH for USA). For other types of pipe and valve fittings, specific adapters will be required.

On the other hand, if your intention is to use WATERBLOCK to prevent kitchen faucet leaks or flooding, it is not recommended not even with adapter devices, because setting the flows would be difficult, and the device would need to be reset often. Eltek is developing a new anti-flooding prevention product for household plumbing that will be available soon.

WATERBLOCK does not interfere with the function of household appliances, therefore, it does not alter water flow.
In gardening applications, you can set WATERBLOCK on a lower setting to minimize water usage.

WATERBLOCK can be installed in a few steps:
– Shut off water supply
– Rotate the arrow with the supplied wrench to configure it to a specific numbered line (see question n° 7)
– Fasten the top end of WATERBLOCK to the tap
– Fasten the appliance’s hose to the threaded base of WATERBLOCK
– Turn water supply back on
WATERBLOCK is installed and activated.

The WATERBLOCK can be installed vertically, horizontally or obliquely; However, you must always respect the direction of the water flow indicated by the arrow stamped on the piece and the installation instructions.

Compatibly with installation constraints, where possible, vertical installation is recommended to achieve perfect operation.

WATERBLOCK allows you to select different profiles; each one corresponds to a type of household appliance. For each profile, the set values correspond to the average quantities used by each type of household appliance.

No. These types of appliances usually heat water internally and they are connected to the cold water faucet (it is also where the WATERBLOCK is connected). Regardless, WATERBLOCK is designed to work with cold and hot water (<70°C).

After identifying and resolving the problem, reset the device by pressing the red button at the bottom of the device.

Yes, this can happen. WATERBLOCK responds to any kind of anomaly. The presumed leak could be outside or inside the appliance and therefore harder to detect. If there is no apparent leak present, WATERBLOCK could have blocked water flow when configured incorrectly. For example, in a specific cycle, a washing machine may draw in a larger amount of water than what was configured in WATERBLOCK.

Profile 1 is recommended for coffee machines. Settings for this type of installation are: 4-6 liters. The number of coffees brewed typically does not influence the flow rate of water required at the tap, and the maximum continuous usage should not exceed the set value.

Profile 4 is recommended for ice makers. Settings for this type of installation: 16-24 liters. This value corresponds to the most common volume of water continuously used by small machines on the market. For medium to large machines, water consumption could be higher.
