WELCOME TO WATERBLOCK SOLUTIONS SUPPORT
Flood prevention hoses utilize a ¾” FGHT connection on both ends.
No, the hose is 100% mechanical. No batteries or wall power is necessary. The internal shut off valve even operates mechanically.
Dual hose construction means a dry home. Our solution is made up of 2 hoses. An inner nylon braided hose as the water supply line and an external corrugated plastic hose to capture any water leakage resulting from failure or breakdown of the inner hose. . Captured water will fill the sealed outer corrugated hose creating enough pressure to activate the mechanical shutoff valve.
Most households will not need to purchase an adapter for their washing machine. In some instances, the water supply valves are located too far inside the box from the front surface of a washing machine outlet box. In this case, you may need to buy a set of male GHT couplings and double female GHT adapters if not already installed in the outlet box. For dishwasher applications, The dishwasher kit contains two adapters: ¾ MGHT x 3/8” female compression and ¾ MGHT x 3/8” male iron pipe (MIP).
It’s DIY easy. Same installation procedures as any hose you ever connected in the past. First shut off the water. Second, install the hose fastening nuts to the inlet connection (red or blue plastic nut) of the appliance. Third, connect opposite end of hose with metal nut to water supply valve on plumbing line. Red color is hot water and blue color is cold water line.. No need for tools, hand tighten only. Then turn on the water again.
The WATERBLOCK is to be installed between the inlet water connection and the metal nut in the valve head of the Flood Prevention Hose. The arrow on the WATERBLOCK shows the proper assembly orientation. The arrow should follow the direction of the flow.
No, you can’t. If the flood prevention hose has blocked a water leak you must substitute the hose with a new one.
You will know when the hose blocked a leak when your appliance recognizes a lack of water and when the red actuator pin in the head of the hose has extended closer to the valve head casing and is readily visible.
You must change the hose when the red actuator pin in the head of the hose is visible and in close proximity to the outer surface of the plastic casing. It means it blocked a leak.
